Time and Talents is a charity based in South-East London and offers community led services and support to the people of Rotherhithe and Bermondsey. Founded in 1887 by a group of women keen to use their own ’Time and Talents’ to help the underprivileged in this area, today we run projects and offer spaces for groups such as the elderly and young people and provide volunteering opportunities for the whole community. |
Values Statement
At Time & Talents our priority is to work within and for the benefit of disadvantaged communities, offering volunteering opportunities and numerous groups and projects to participate in. The following values underpin all our work :
- respect for individuals, recognising that each individual has equal value;
- a belief that every individual has talents and potential which can be realised;
- the sharing of people’s time and talents promotes community wellbeing and helps achieve positive individual and social change;
- social change has to be driven by local communities and not imposed
