The Old Mortuary
First built in 1860, The Old Mortuary has been functioning as a centre for local activities since 1980. It is situated in the heart of old Rotherhithe, five minutes walk from Bermondsey, Canada Water (Jubilee Line) and Rotherhithe (East London Line) tube stations. The single story, fully accessible building is DDA compliant and has its own garden adjacent to the tranquil oasis of St Mary’s Park. The building is fully secure and there is also cycle parking and a small car park.
We have three seperate rooms available for hire for functions, meetings and parties - Russell Hall, Varney Room and the Chapel. Or you can hire the whole building. Please check room hire rates.
All rooms are available to hire throughout the week and at the weekend. Please note that any evening bookings must finish before 11pm when the centre has to be locked up.
