General Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteers are crucial to all the work done at Time and Talents, and have made an invaluable contribution to the organisation. Listed below are some of the current volunteering opportunities at the Time and Talents Community Centre. Please e-mail Lisa Greensill lisagreensill@timeandtalents.org.uk for a role description and application form, or call 0207 232 5665 for more information. Every year we hold a Volunteers Celebration to thank our volunteers for all their support, and provide regular training sessions to help them build their skills.
Youth Projects
Befriending Service
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to give one to two hours a week to visit an isolated older person in their homes. This can also be a residential home or sheltered housing unit. We give an informal interview as well as a CRB check. We also offer training throughout the year as well as a summer party to thank all our volunteers who offer their time to the organisation.
Volunteers with English as a Second Language
We are looking for volunteers to help in any of our older people’s groups, the young mothers’ group or elsewhere in the centre. We also offer a free volunteer training programme thoughout the year to all ESOL volunteers.
Administration Volunteers
Volunteers are needed who will assist with the administration of the centre and support the Office and Lettings manager. The centre is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and volunteers are needed for various admin roles and duties for a mininum of two hours up to maximum of four hours per day. Duties will include meeting and greeting, providing information on various projects and groups and general office duties.
Fundraising
We need people who willing to offer their time to help with various fundraising events that are held throughout the year. The London Marathon and Hurlingham Club Christmas Fair in Chelsea both need volunteers to help with fundraising as well as administration and mailing activities.
Marketing and Events
Keeping in touch with supporters and members of the Association and publicising our work in the local community is very important. We always need help with filling envelopes and delivering leaflets from door to door or from shop to shop. If you can help with this either regularly or occasionally, we would be delighted to hear from you. We also need help and support in designing marketing materials and organising other events.
