London Virgin Marathon 2012

Time and Talents is based on the Marathon route near Mile 13 and the centre will be open on Marathon Sunday morning - 22nd April.

 If you would care to join us helping cheer our runners as they pass and at the same time learn about the projects at Time and Talents we would be delighted to see you.

Gift Fair

The annual Time and Talents Gift Fair will be held on Monday, 5th November 2012 at the Hurlingham Club, SW6.
 
The Gift Fair committee meets regularly to review stall applications. If you wish to apply please email details of your product range to tandtgiftfair@hotmail.co.uk.   Please do not ring the Time and Talents office as the fair is organised by an external committee.

The Board of Trustees

Time and Talents is governed by a Board of Trustees which currently has nine members from a variety of backgrounds and professions. The Board takes responsibility for the strategic direction and policy of the charity.  There are a number of specific committees who report back to the Board to help keep the organisation running smoothly.

Chair

Dr Catherine Otty

Catherine Otty, (Kate to her friends) joined the board in 2009.  She is the Chair of the organisation.

Kate has been a GP in Rotherhithe since 1989 and originally found out about Time and Talents through her patients. In addition to being a GP,  she has also worked for the primary care trust (PCT), chairing the medicines management group and as a commissioning GP. She trained in Cambridge and spent time working in Australia before joining the Albany Street practice which has developed from a two doctor practice to a nine partner, modern, training, general practice since she started.

Vice Chair / Treasurer

Elaine Ray

Elaine Ray joined the Board in 2008. She is the Vice Chair, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee.

As Treasurer, Elaine has contributed to updating the financial policies for the organisation and overseeing the the audit preperation work. Her career history includes Finance Manager at an environmental charity, Corporate Finance Advisor at ABN AMRO Bank and Audit Manager at Deloitte. Elaine holds an MA in Mathematics from Selwyn College, Cambridge University and is a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW. Her other interests include environmental issues, hiking and the cinema.

Trustees

Pauline Adenwalla

Pauline joined the Board in 2002.

Pauline worked as a computer analyst and consultant, including for for several international organisations, until the late 1980’s. She then spent time volunteering in developing countries. Since moving to Rotherhithe in 1995, she has immersed herself in community work including as Vice Chair of Governors at a local school and as Chair of Canada Water Campaign. Pauline was the Chair of Time and Talents from 2004 to 2009.

Elaine Garlick

Elaine joined the Board in 2008.

Elaine is a local resident who has lived in Rotherhithe since 1984. Shehas a child in a local school and works as a costume supervisor for the Royal Opera House. She is presently Chair of the Governors at Alfred Salter Primary School.

Prem Goyal

Prem joined the Board in 2011.

Prem Goyal is a successful entrepreneur and the Chief Executive Officer of Global Markets Consultants. He has volunteered for many charities and not-for-profit organisations over the years and has raised over £50,000 for a variety of causes through such efforts as running the London Marathon and climbing both Kilimanjaro and Mount Everest. Since 2009 he has also been serving as a Magistrate. As a local resident part of the reason Prem decided to get involved is that he strongly believes that well knit communities are the key for a prosperous Britain and he will be working with Time and Talents to help us achieve this goal.

Andrew MacManus

Andrew joined the Board in 2009. He is the Chair of the HR Committee.

Andrew has lived in Rotherhithe for over 10 years now. He has over 20 years experience in both business and HR roles and is currently Head of HR for a train leasing company. His experience helps ensure that Time and Talents follows best practice in its dealings with those who work for the organisation.

Pauline Maddison

Pauline joined the Board in 2007. She is the Chair of the Fundraising, Marketting and Events Committee.

Ilkan Osman

Ilkan joined the Board in 2005.

Jenni Phillpot

Jenni joined the Board in 2000. She is the Chair of the General Purposes Committee.
