London Virgin Marathon 2012

Time and Talents is based on the Marathon route near Mile 13 and the centre will be open on Marathon Sunday morning - 22nd April.

 If you would care to join us helping cheer our runners as they pass and at the same time learn about the projects at Time and Talents we would be delighted to see you.

Gift Fair

The annual Time and Talents Gift Fair will be held on Monday, 5th November 2012 at the Hurlingham Club, SW6.
 
The Gift Fair committee meets regularly to review stall applications. If you wish to apply please email details of your product range to tandtgiftfair@hotmail.co.uk.   Please do not ring the Time and Talents office as the fair is organised by an external committee.

Tai Chi Classes

Tai Chi classes take place on Thursday evenings from 6.30 to 9.00pm. The more advanced studies class runs from 6.30 to 8.00pm and the open group from 8.00 until 9.00pm.

Tai Chi Practice For Beginners

A ten week introduction to Tai Chi. Students will have the opportunity to study the basic principles involved with this Meditation in Movement for Health of the Mind, Body and Spirit. The principles will be practiced both in a Solo Form, as well as in Partner Work. The course will be for a maximum of nine students and will be run by Rita Harris, a qualified Master of this Art.

Week 2 Attention. Relaxation.
Week 3 Preparation. Natural breathing.
Week 4 Beginning. A flexible waist.
Week 5 Ward Off Left. Circular movements.
Week 6 Ward Off Right. Central equilibrium.
Week 7 Roll Back. Moving forward.
Week 8 Press, Push. Body as one unit.
Week 9 Single Whip 1. No hollows, no projections.
Week 10 Single Whip 2. Long-term aims of Tai Chi practice.
