Corporate Volunteering

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Time & Talents. We welcome teams of corporate volunteers to participate in our social contact groups for older people, events and other projects with open arms. We are conveniently located in Rotherhithe with another centre in Surrey Quays, so we regularly welcome groups of volunteers from Canary Wharf, London Bridge and Bermondsey.

Corporate volunteering brings your team together and brings vital resource to  a small local charity like us. We have a dedicated volunteering programme that will support your team on the lead up to and on the day. Your volunteers will be briefed and supported throughout the activities to ensure that they and our participants  get the most from the experience. Here’s how you can get involved:

Facilities and Gardening Projects

We are always reshaping and revitalising our large community garden area (St Marychurch Oasis). We need teams of 4-10 volunteers to help with various tasks including planting, tidying, and weeding, ideally on a Tuesday or Friday to coordinate with our Green Team, but we appreciate the help anytime. 


We also have a range of jobs that will help improve our facilities available for corporate volunteers to help with. These vary from season to season but could be anything from helping with spring cleaning to assisting with new community projects.

Community Events

We regularly run large events for the community and rely on teams of corporate volunteers to support the staff team in running these at our centre in Rotherhithe.

Volunteering usually includes set up, serving food and refreshments, helping to run activities and generally making sure the older adults, children and families we support have a great time!

Our annual Summer Party takes place every year in July and our Winter Party happens in December. We like to have 15-20 corporate volunteers at each event.

Social Contact Groups for Older Adults

On Mondays and Wednesdays, we welcome Corporate Volunteers (up to six people) to join our social contact groups for older adults. Your team could help with anything from making sandwiches to running games and activities or supporting our minibus driver.

Our staff will support your team to understand and plan for any needs the group might have (for example, the VIP visual impairment group).

Please note we charge an admin fee of £75 to arrange your volunteering day and £15 per volunteer per hour to facilitate
