Did you come to our very first Rotherhithe Repair Café?
We want to say a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who made the Rotherhithe Repair Café launch a big success. It’s great that we can offer people in South London a place to bring their small electrical appliances, clothes and bikes to get fixed.
With a 100% success rate, at our inaugural session, we fixed: a robot vacuum cleaner, Bluetooth speakers, a remote controlled car, a laminator, a coffee machine, bike paniers, two radios, a blender, a kettle, a rucksack, a pair of glasses, a coat, a shirt and a pink sparkly dress!
Thanks also to Ahmed Kamara for the great photos, Tesco for donating pastries and Wickes for donating some basic items for the electrical repairs.
We’ll be back again on Saturday, 5 April, 2025 offering free repairs of your small electrical devices, clothing, toys/mechanical items and bicycles. All repairs from 10am-1pm, and bicycles only from 10am-4pm.
Moving forward, the Rotherhithe Repair Café will take place on the first Saturday of each month at The Old Mortuary, St Marychurch Street, Rotherhithe SE16 4JE.
