Time & Talents offers a great variety of fun, interesting activities for all ages, including many groups created specially for people in later life.

From keep-fit and arts and crafts, to health advice, participants at T&T keep exploring and trying new things throughout their lives! We run several groups that give people the chance to get together over a shared interest or pastime, including our Men’s Walking Group – where we explore interesting places on foot and take a few photos if the mood takes us – or our Friday Social, which participants describe as a ‘youth club for grown-ups’. Meanwhile, Rainbow Arts is perfect if you want to get creative, and Strength and Balance helps build up physical resilience and keep away the aches and pains.

For older adults with higher levels of need, we run a range of more supported activities, such as our Stroke Club (for people who have experienced a stroke, along with their carers), our VIPs’ Club (for Visually Impaired Persons), Ruby Tuesdays (for people with a memory issue, with a monthly Carers’ Club for their carers in addition) and our Happy Mondays group for older adults who need a bit of additional help to get out and meet people. Many of these activities can include minibus transport and a light lunch.

While most of our groups are aimed at older adults living in our Neighbourhood Care catchment area, the Stroke Club and VIP group are open to all residents of Southwark.

Don’t forget – we know that you’re only as old as you feel, and all of our community activities for adults are open to people of all ages!
