Carers Group
Supporting Those Who Support Others

Caring for someone with dementia or memory loss can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Our Carers Group is a safe, informal space for people supporting someone with dementia or memory loss to connect, share experiences, and recharge.
Whether you’re looking for advice or just want to listen to others who understand, this group is here for you. We host regular guest speakers and themed sessions on topics such as self-care, bereavement, and nutrition.
While our Carers Group is running, our Ruby Tuesday’s group also takes place at the same time. Ruby Tuesday’s is a supportive session for people living with dementia or memory loss, also held at Time & Talents. This means carers can take a meaningful break between 1pm and 3pm. You can choose to stay for the Carers Group or take some well-deserved time elsewhere.

Meet our Carers Group facilitator
Deborah Jordan

I have over 25 years of experience working in the charity sector, supporting people to overcome challenges and empowering them to make their own choices. I’m passionate about helping others have positive experiences — whether that’s through attending our groups and activities, or by seeing someone who was once isolated gain confidence and connect with others. I enjoy my role as a Neighbourhood Care Coordinator because of the flexibility, variety, and the chance to provide a warm, inclusive, and non-judgemental service that helps our service users achieve the best possible outcomes.
