Vacancy: Fundraising Manager

Time & Talents, an award-winning community hub in South East London, is seeking a Fundraising Manager with a proven track record of writing successful funding applications, and crafting compelling cases for support. A part-time post, with remote working, the Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Director and Management Team to develop and implement a fundraising strategy to meet challenging income targets.

This post will play a vital role in strengthening our capacity as a community hub to continue to deliver high impact high quality programmes.

What we do 

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community hub in the heart of Rotherhithe, London.  Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 134 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with children and families’ programmes and a range of volunteering projects.We are at an exciting stage of development. Our income has grown substantially in recent years and this growth has enabled us to develop our programmes and activities to reduce loneliness and social isolation in the local community by supporting more older adults, children and families.

The role 

In this role, you will: 

  • Write, develop, and submit successful funding applications to trusts, foundations and other potential funders

  • Develop ongoing cases for support for the organisation and in specific programme areas 

  • Undertake research into potential donors and develop a strong pipeline of opportunities

  • Manage fundraising processes, with the support of admin staff where appropriate 

  • Report to donors on outcomes

  • Work with the Director and Management Team to develop a fundraising strategy to meet income targets

About you 

You are passionate about the power of community to connect and support people, and you like to work in collaboration with others. You have demonstrable experience as a fundraiser, empathy with our cause and knowledge of the charity sector.You are friendly and positive, flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities. You have experience of writing successful bids both independently (as the sole writer), and as part of a team. You’re able to write compellingly, and appropriately, for different types of potential funders.

This role is part-time and based remotely, although you will need to be able to travel to our office in Rotherhithe regularly for face to face meetings.
